My answer

My answer to this poem is at the very bottom. LOL

Shirley

I found this beautiful winter poem and thought it might be a comfort to you.
It was to me, and it's very well written.
ENJOY!

SHIT,
IT'S COLD
The End

AS SHIRLEY SEE'S IT

Some poems tell it straight
And get right to the point
Well I am doing the same
And heading out to a joint
To get me a big ole high ball
And then have several more
And if the snow gets so deep
Covering the windows and the door
I'll hang in there all night
And wait till dawn of day
By that time my friends FIND ME
On the floor you'll see me lay
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

LET ME TELL YOU

Let me tell you my dear children
And your loving spouses and children too
My life is just so wonderful
And all because of you

You are very much exceptional
From the stories that I'm told
From all my friends and neighbors
Who like me are now so old

We all share our stories
And I find I am so blessed
But I find it is hard to understand
For I am no different from the rest

It must be because my children
Were so blessed in God's design
Because while I was raising them
I was truly not of mind

Of all the complexities
That make life the way we know
I must give all the credit
To the one of which I know

God and his higher ways
Issaih 55.9 tells it all
Every word written in it
Is meant for one and all.

Isaiah 55:8-9
| Isaiah 55 |
8- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

FROM MY BEGINING

FROM MY BEGINING

I just walked the road in front of me
To see where it would go
I found it never ended
But I just had to know

What was around that corner
But not forgetting my way back home
Because I knew for sure, tomorrow
I'd be off again to roam

The roads that took me someplace
For myself I just had to see
The big world that I lived in
That made me feel so free.

Ain't Got Time

Ain't got time

im not high on meth or cocain, drugs or even booze
im trippin all the time barefoot
and i don't even need my shoes

im high as a kite on livin
and at 74 still goin strong
just doin whats good and right
aint got no time for doin wrong

simple, cheap and psychedelic
somethin different ever day
never have to look over my shoulder
too busy, gotta be on my way

Ain't got time to dilly dally
Ain't no time to sing the blues
time waits for no one
with or without shoes

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me! I'm coming through.
With all due respect to each one of you.

Since we all share, equally, this Planet Earth
From the very moment we arrived at our birth.

78 years ago was my grand arrival time
That exact moment completely skips my mind.

I am finally catching up, better late than never.
Naive as all get out but time has made me clever.

Having said that, is to let each and everyone know.
I'm here for the same reasons you are, so excuse me while I go

On about my mission with utmost respect for all
So share the pathway politely, lest we collide and fall.

Happy traveling to each of you, and chance we meet again,
We can share our stories about all our turns and bends .
